New Sewer Connections, Repairs, or Demolitions
A permit is required for any new sewer service connection, repair or demolition.
Permits can be obtained from the Sewer Superintendent's office at the East Shore Water Pollution Abatement Facility (ESWPAF) Monday - Friday from 8:00AM - 11:00 AM.
All sewer service connections must adhere to the policies outlined in the GNHWPCA Design Criteria Manual.
Fees are payable at the ESWPAF at the time the permit is submitted.
Inspections can be performed Monday - Friday 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM by appointment only. All inspections must be scheduled at least 24 hours prior to starting excavation.
No trench containing a building sewer or lateral sewer connection to the public sewer shall be backfilled until the GNHWPCA has completed an inspection of and approved the work.
